HEALTH AND SAFETY AUDITOR/CDMC - Keston, KENT

Merebrook Consulting have the opportunity to place one or possibly two persons within the current health and safety team.
Health and Safety Consultant
The duties will include undertaking the role of a Health and Safety Auditor/Consultant joining a team of Safety Officers. The role will include undertaking Health and Safety audits and inspections on a variety of Clients sites including office environments, industrial sites, manufacturing and food manufacturing sites, civil engineering sites and general construction sites. These audits cover general health and safety management systems as part of a continued assessment of Employers Liability but may also include an element of assessment for Public and Product Liabilities. Training will be provided within these specific areas as not all candidates will have specific experience in Public and Product Liability.
CDM Co-ordinator
The applicant must be able to act as a CDM Co-ordinator for a range of construction projects including general new-build housing construction, civil engineering as well as industrial new builds. A depth of experience within the Health and Safety CDM Coordination role is essential and the successful candidate will also need to be client focused, therefore excellent communication skills are required.
Requirements
Any prospective candidates will have:
• A minimum of an appropriate health and safety degree/NEBOSH Diploma
• Up to date proven working knowledge and experience of Health and Safety and CDM Regulations
• Experience of providing Health and Safety advice in a construction and civil engineering environment
• 5 years operational experience
It would also benefit the candidates if they were a Chartered Member of IOSH and/or a registered member of APS and have experience of working in a consultancy environment with an understanding of civil engineering and construction within the power industry.
